This bowl was handcrafted from a Pin Oak tree that grew in the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University. Established in 1821, the Arboretum spans 281 acres and houses a living collection of trees, shrubs, and woody vines, recognized as one of the most comprehensive and well-documented in the world. This living collection is supported by extensive curatorial documentation and herbaria containing more than 1.3 million specimens. The bowl is #6 of the 7 bowls that will be crafted from this tree. The bowl measures 6" by 2 1/2" inches tall.
