Baker Library Lawn Honey Locust #55

$289.00
sold out

This bowl was handcrafted from a large Honey Locust tree that lined the Baker Lawn at the Harvard Business School. This Honey Locust was one of the few trees that framed and beautified the campus lawn for decades. It was estimated to be about 60 years old before its removal in 2014. The tree showed signs of disease and was removed. Interestingly enough, another Honey Locust was immediately planted in its spot following its removal.

This is bowl #55 of the 70 bowls that will be crafted from this tree. The bowl measures 7" in diameter and 4 1/2" in height.

Also included:

  • A card explaining the history of this tree on campus

  • Decorative packaging

  • Standard engraving featuring the Harvard Business School logo, or optional custom engraving on the underside of the bowl
