Our Mission

Harvard is graced with hundreds of trees that have been staples on campus for centuries. The trees provide a historic connection into Harvard's past.  Occasionally these historic trees must be removed from their prominent places on campus.  The wood is often sent to landfills and with it decades of historic meaning. When trees are cut, we gather the wood and turn it into custom wooden bowls and premium pens that preserve the memory and grandeur of Harvard's historic past.

The trees frame the life of Harvard students and faculty, and perhaps allude to the poem inscribed near Meyer Gate in the “long winding train reaching back into eternity,” written by Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Cambridge Bowl Company makes meaningful and unique gift items that preserve the history of Harvard.
