History: This fountain pen was handcrafted from a Red Elm Tree (Ulmus rubra) that grew in between the Baker Library and Morgan Hall on Harvard Way. The Baker Library was dedicated in 1927 and is currently the largest business library in the world. The library contains over 600,000 volumes from the last 7 centuries. The tree died after being on the grounds for decades and was removed in June of 2014.
